Treatments

Aesthetics by Emma Grace offers the below range of non-surgical aesthetic and cosmetic dermatology treatments

01

Consultation

An in-depth 45 minute consultation, ensures client safety and suitability for treatment whilst allowing clients time to discuss their concerns. The consultation follows the medical model which includes a comprehensive medical history, treatment area analysis, photographic assessment and treatment plan. At Aesthetics by Emma Grace, we take great care to understand your concerns, guide you through the treatment options and discuss benefits and potential side-effects of treatment. You will have ample time in the consultation to ask any questions you may have in a supportive environment. For your safety, a consultation must be undertaken prior to booking in for treatment to allow the safe delivery of treatment. Consultations can be undertaken in-clinic or virtually. However, for anti-wrinkle treatment consultations, these must be carried out face-to-face in the clinic as per clinical guidelines.

Anti-wrinkle Treatment

As we age, we develop fine lines and wrinkles on our skin. Lifestyle, such as diet, sun exposure, and skincare, alongside genetics determine how quickly we develop these lines, commonly these are noticeable in your late 20’s. Small doses of prescription medication can be efficient in treating fine lines and wrinkles, particularly those that occur due to facial expressions. The relaxation of the facial muscle underneath the skin causes a reduction in movement which leads to a reduction in the formation and appearance of wrinkles. The result can last between 3-5 months, this can vary depending on individual response. Repeated treatments are required to maintain response. Benefits of this treatment include softening of present static lines and prevention of permanent static lines. A reduction of movement in dynamic lines thus improving skin quality by allowing the skin to recover.

Aesthetics by Emma Grace offers upper face and lower face areas for anti-wrinkle treatment, such as:

  • Glabella - Lines between the eyebrows from frowning.
  • Frontalis - Forehead Lines created from raising the eyebrows.
  • Lateral Orbicularis Oculi (Crow's Feet) - Lines from smiling and squinting.

02

Dermal Fillers

As the skin ages, it gradually loses collagen, elastin, and fat. These are the core components that act like scaffolding to structure the skin. As these essential components decrease, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled with a reduction in volume, losing our youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are an injectable product, which contains Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is naturally produced by your body. It is incredibly Hydrophilic, it loves to attract water molecules creating a plump, fresh appearance. Dermal fillers help restore volume, producing a youthful, firmer appearance. They can also be used to shape and contour the face, improving facial balance and enhancing your natural beauty. Dermal fillers can last between 6-12 months depending on the type of filler used, the area injected, and client lifestyle.

03

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a gentle, safe and non-invasive exfoliation treatment that removes the dead skin cells in the upper layer of the skin (epidermis) and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Contrary to popular belief, vellus hairs, as opposed to terminal hair, will not grow back thicker or darker. The physical exfoliation triggers the cell regeneration process and allows skin care products to better penetrate skin. Dermaplaning works by utilising a sterile, surgical blade to lightly apply pressure along the surface of the skin in short strokes to remove the fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) and dead skin cells from the face. This results in healthier, brighter skin that has a smoother look and feel, a perfect base for flawless make up application.

04

Chemical Peels

As we get older, cellular regeneration slows down. Skin becomes discoloured, we lose laxity and we can look aged. We can increase cellular turnover and improve the skins health and appearance by causing minor controlled trauma to skin. This repeated over time results in brighter, tighter and a more youthful complexion. Chemical peels help to strengthen the skins barrier, reducing sensitivity. They can help lift and fade discolouration, making them a popular choice amongst pigmentation patients. Chemical peels can also help to control sebum and remove build up in pores making them an ideal choice for acne patients. A chemical peel solution is safely applied to the face to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells. Here at Aesthetics by Emma Grace we use the PCA Skin Chemical Peels. The PCA Skin peels are a progressive approach which leads to dramatic results without unnecessary and unwanted trauma/downtime.

05

Profhilo

Profhilo is made from a highly concentrated, ultra purified hyaluronic acid (HA). It has the ability to draw 1000 times its own weight in water into the skin. It hydrates the skin from within improving skin texture, barrier, elasticity and radiance.  Profhilo has a runnier consistency compared to dermal fillers, meaning once injected into the skin it spreads within a 2cm radius of the injection site. Profhilo acts as a ‘bio-remodeller’ creating a liftening and tightening effect to the skin. It stimulates significant collagen and elastin synthesis, resulting in plumper, smoother and more supple skin. Millions of Profhilo® treatments have been carried out worldwide with no serious side effects being reported. It can be used to treat the face, rejuvenate the neck, decolletage, hands, arms and even knees!

06

Redensity 1 Skin Booster

Redensity 1 by Teoxane is an injectable skin booster which boasts benefits of improved skin quality – it hydrates, brightens and softens the skin whilst reducing and softening fine lines and wrinkles.  Packed with antioxidant and oxidative stress protection slowing down ageing. Compared to other skin boosters and bio-remodellers it is great for treating targeted crepey, wrinkled areas such as the eyes, perioral (barcode) lines, smile lines and neck lines. It Contains: 15mg/ml of Hyaluronic Acid, 8 Amino Acids, 3 Anti-oxidants, 2 minerals and Vitamin B6. You will require a course for best results; we recommend 2-3 sessions of Redensity 3 weeks apart. To maintain results a maintenance treatment is recommended every 4-6 months.

07

Microneedling

Microneedling, or otherwise known as collagen induction therapy creates controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro-‘injuries’ in the skin. It is delivered by a series of very fine pin needles via an electronic pen which creates thousands of tiny micro channels into the skin’s matrix to stimulate fibroblast activity, collagen and rejuvenate the skin. The benefits of Microneedling is tighter, thicker, plumper, firmer, smoother skin. Additionally, skincare products are able to penetrate more deeply into the skin, making them more effective. It has been documented to improve the appearance of aging, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, large pores, uneven texture, stretch marks and scar tissue on face and body areas. Microneedling is a well-balanced treatment which has minimum downtime with a visible lasting effect. A course of 3-6 treatments is recommended 4-6 weeks apart for best results.

Microneedling
PRF

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a revolutionary, all-natural treatment with an excellent safety profile. PRF utilises a small sample of your own blood to rejuvenate and promote the health of your skin. The sample of blood is spun in a special centrifuge to separate the bloods components. The absence of an anticoagulant in the tube allows the formation of a spongy, gel-like product rich in platelets, stem cells, growth factors, and fibrin that can be injected or microneedled into the skin to address signs of aging, volume loss, fine lines, under eye hallowing, dark circles, scarring, hair loss and skin healing. PRF induces mild inflammation and triggers the skin healing cascade and as a result collagen and elastin is formed. PRF becomes a gel after 15 to 20 minutes of being isolated and immediately upon being injected into the face or body. This allows it to be used for cosmetic volume restoration in addition to topical indications to improve skin quality. A course of 3 treatments 6 weeks apart is recommended, some results are immediately visible. Results can last up to 18 months, depending on the quality of the plasma injected and skin condition.
